Increase The Peace Chicago is a youth-led, community-rooted organization based on the Southwest Side, dedicated to developing young leaders and promoting peace and nonviolence through organizing, advocacy, and collective care. Founded in 2016 by young people from the community, ITP centers the leadership of those most impacted. Over the past year, immigration advocacy has been a critical part of their work, grounded in a deep commitment to protecting and uplifting immigrant families.

On the ground, ITP has supported efforts such as migra watches, helping ensure student safety during dismissal hours, accompanying local food pantries, and connecting community members to trusted legal resources. Through it all, they continue to build leadership and strengthen networks of care so that neighbors can show up for one another in meaningful ways.
